How do I get my software license key?

When you purchase a product, a license key is generated and sent to the e-mail address that you provided with your order.  The e-mail message contains instructions for how to copy this license key into the software to remove the trial screen.  You will only receive this e-mail message when payment has been received for your order.  If you ordered using a money order, you will receive this e-mail message when your money order has been deposited.  For credit card and PayPal orders, you should receive this e-mail message very quickly, usually within just a couple of minutes.  If you do not receive this e-mail message, contact support at support@zuggsoft.com.  Be sure to include your Order Number in all correspondence.

How can I get a refund?

You can return any product you have purchased within 30 days of the purchase date.  Go to the Zugg Software Store and enter the login username (your e-mail address) and password that were e-mailed to you when you purchased the product.  Then, click the Order History link in the Your Store Account section on the left of the screen.  This will display all of your orders with us.  Click on the order you wish to return and the details of that order will be displayed.  If this order is elligible for a refund, there will be a section at the bottom of the page called Return Product.  Follow the instructions given there to return your product.

To return the product you will need to remove the license from your computer and obtain a return verification code.  Once you enter the return verification code into the box at the bottom of the order detail page, your refund will be processed within 48 hours.

How can I retrieve my license key if I forgot it?

Go to the Zugg Software Store and enter the login username (your e-mail address) and password that were e-mailed to you when you purchased the product.  Then, click the Order History link in the Your Store Account section on the left of the screen.  This will display all of your orders with us.  Click on the order for the product you want to get the license key for and the details of that order will be displayed.  Click the Retrieve License button and a new license key will be e-mailed to you.  This license key can be used to register the software for the next seven days.  If you need another key after the seven day period, simply repeat this procedure.

Note that you are limited to retrieving your license key to once a month.  If you need to retrieve your key more often than that, or get any error message when retrieving your key, email support at support@zuggsoft.com.  Be sure to include your Order Number in all correspondence.

How can I log into the store if I forgot my password?

Simple click the Recover Password link in the Your Store Account section on the left of the store.  Enter the e-mail address for your store account and the password for your account will be e-mailed to you.

How can I change my email address?

Go to the Zugg Software Store and enter the login username (your e-mail address) and password that were e-mailed to you when you purchased the product.  Then click the Modify Profile link in the Your Store Account section on the left of the screen.  You can then change any information associated with your account, including your e-mail address.  You can also change your login e-mail address to any login handle that you wish, if that is easier to remember that your e-mail address.

How many computers can I use your software on?

You can install the software using your license key on as many computer as you want, as long as you are the primary user/owner of the computer and as long as only one copy of the software could ever be used at the same time.  Think of the software like a book.  A book can only be read by one person at a time, so the software should only be used by one person at a time.

How can I remove my license key from my computer?

To remove your license from a computer and obtain a return verification code, run the program and go to the Help menu and select the Enter License option.  If the software is licensed to you, then you will see your name displayed in the popup window, along with a button called Remove License.  Click the Remove License button, and then confirm that you wish to permanently remove your license on this computer.  Once you do this, your license key will no longer work on that computer and the software will revert to it's original Trial status.  A verification code will be displayed, and also copied to your Windows clipboard.  You will need this code to return your product, so be sure to write it down.

If you cannot run the product to remove the license, then select the Unlicense option from your Start/Program entry for the software. Or run the software with the "unlicense" option on the command line (for example: "zmud unlicense" from a Command Prompt window).

Once you remove your license, your license key will no longer work on that computer.  To use the software on that computer again, you will need to obtain a new license key.

What happens if I reformat my hard disk?

If you reformat your hard disk or reinstall Windows from scratch, your license information will be erased and all software will return to Trial status.  To re-activate your software, simply retrieve your license key.

How can I buy a product as a gift for someone else?

In the Zugg Software store, select the Gift Certificates link in the Special Offers section on the left of the page.  Fill out the page that is shown, including the name of the person you want to send the gift to, along with any special message you wish to send them.  Then click the Add to Cart button to add this certificate to your shopping cart.  Checkout and pay for this gift certificate using any of the available methods.  When your payment has been received, a special e-mail message will be sent to the gift recipient containing their gift certificate ID number, along with the message that you entered.

You can't send a specific product to someone as a gift.  All you can do is send them a gift certificate for the amount of the product.  It is then up to the recipient to actually buy the product.  Be sure and make the amount of the gift certificate enough for them to buy the product they want.  Of course, you can also make the gift certificate for a larger amount, and the recipient can use it for any products they want.  They don't even need to spend the full amount all at once.  Gift certificates are a very flexible way to send a gift to your friends.

I received a gift certificate...how can I use it?

In the gift certificate e-mail that you received you will see an ID value.  To use your gift certificate, go to the Zugg Software Store and add any products that you want to your shopping cart.  When you click the Checkout button, select the Gift Certificate option in the Payment Methods section.  When you click the Next button, you will be prompted for the gift certificate ID value.  Copy and paste the ID value from the e-mail you received into this field, then click Submit Order.

If the value of the gift certificate is not enough to pay for the products in your shopping cart, you will be prompted to select an additional method of payment for the balance of the order.  Once you submit your order, the amount of your shopping cart is deducted from the value of the gift certificate.  If there is still money left in the gift certificate, you can always use it later for another order.

Can I buy anything without using a credit card?

Yes, we support both PayPal as well as money orders.  Simply select the Payment option from the list on the checkout page.  If you select PayPal, you will be taken to the PayPal system to enter your payment information.  If you select Money Order, then you will be given a chance to confirm your order, and when you click Submit Order, an Invoice will be displayed.  Click the Print Invoice button to display a printable version of the invoice, then use the File/Print option in your web browser to print this page.  Send a copy of this page along with your Money Order to the Zugg Software address shown on the invoice.  Once we receive the money order and deposit it, we will send you an e-mail containing your software license keys.

Money Orders should be made out in US Dollars.  Most banks will do this, but some will charge a fee.  We do not accept personal checks, only money orders.  However, we do accept company purchase orders along with corporate checks.  Just follow the same instructions as for Money Orders.  If you send us a form of payment that we cannot accept, it will be destroyed and we will send you an e-mail message requesting new payment.  Your order will not be processed until the payment has been successfully deposited.

Sorry but we do not accept any electronic transfers.  For electronic forms of payment, use PayPal.

How is my privacy being protected?

Zugg Software is very concerned about protecting your privacy and personal information. We have a full Privacy Statement online for you to read.

How is my credit card information protected?

None of your credit card information is stored anywhere on our web site.  Our Zugg Software store is fully secure and encrypted as indicated by the lock icon in your web browser.  Our credit card transactions are performed using the Verisign payment service.

Who do I contact to dispute a credit card charge from Zugg Software?

Contact Zugg Software at (719) 527-0116 or support@zuggsoft.com to dispute a credit card charge. Be sure to check with any children or others who might have access to your credit card to see if they purchased any of our software using your credit card. Please always contact us via phone or email before filing a dispute with your credit card company so that we can refund your purchase without dealing with the chargeback fees that your bank will impose if you contact them first. Note that we do NOT provide ANY technical support via phone. The phone number shown above is ONLY for credit card disputes.
