A named script that can be assigned to buttons, menu items, etc.

Properties

Action string none Link this action to another named action (typically a built-in action)
Script string none Script to run when this action is executed (Default Text field property)
GroupIndex integer 0 Actions with same group number are grouped together like radio button selections
Events boolean false Whether event subroutines are enabled for this action
HelpContext integer 0 Value used when F1 or HelpContextAction is used.

Events

Event Arguments Description
OnExecute Sender Fires when event is executed, before Script is run.

Example

Tells the Browser ActiveX control to navigate to the URL given by the edit component named URL.

Pre-defined Actions

There are several actions built into the Zeus core engine.  These action names all start with a underscore "_" character.

_EditCut Cut the text from the current edit control to the clipboard.
_EditCopy Copy the text from the current edit control to the clipboard.
_EditPaste Paste the text from the clipboard into the current edit control.
_EditSelectAll Select all of the text in the current edit control.
_EditUndo Undo the last change to the current edit control.
_EditDelete Clear all of the text from the current edit control.
_HelpContents Display the Contents page of the help file for the application
_HelpTopicSearch Display the Topic Search page of the help file for the application
_HelpOnHelp Display the Help for the Help system itself
_HelpContextAction Display the help page for the current component based upon the components HelpContext property
_WindowClose Close the current window
_FileExit Exit the current application
_MemoBold Bold the currently selected text in a Memo component
_MemoItalic Emphasize the currently selected text in a Memo component
_MemoUnderline Underline the currently selected text in a Memo component
_MemoStrikeOut Strikeout the currently selected text in a Memo component
_MemoAlignLeft Align the paragraph in a Memo component to the left
_MemoAlignRight Align the paragraph in a Memo component to the right
_MemoAlignCenter Align the paragraph in a Memo component to the center
_MemoBullets Make a bullet list in a Memo component
_EditSpellCheck Check the spelling of the currently selected edit control
_EditAutoSpell Control the auto-spellcheck and auto-correction options in a Memo component
